What Thrift Routes is

Thrift Routes (thriftroutes.com) is a free guide to sourcing inventory for resale: how to read a thrift store, what to buy, estate sales, outlet bins, sold comps, eBay sell-through rate and trip math, plus a free sourcing trip calculator. It is published by the team behind FlowLister, an AI eBay listing tool, and has been online since September 2026.

Who publishes this

Thrift Routes is published by the team behind FlowLister, an AI listing tool for eBay sellers. The questions here (when to leave, what to skip, whether Saturday paid) are the ones a day of sourcing raises.

Why a separate site

Sourcing sits upstream of listing. Finding inventory worth a slot, and finding an evening to list it, are two separate constraints. We can help with the second. The first is a floor skill. It wanted its own pages, not a squeezed blog post on a product site.

How this is written

  • Method first. A number is arithmetic you can check, a public figure we link to, or labelled a rule of thumb.
  • The first person in the guides is a shared floor voice, not one named author. There are no reader stories or reviews here, and no named person is quoted.
  • No invented statistics. We do not cite studies we have not read or surveys we did not run.
  • No sponsored placements, affiliate links, or paid inclusions.
  • Every guide, the calculator and the home page carry a labelled disclosure that names FlowLister. This page says it in its first line, and the footer credit names FlowLister on every page. FlowLister is described only for what it does today: it turns item photos into complete eBay listings, prices each item from recent eBay sold comps, and publishes through eBay's official Trading API with eBay's own sign-in, never seeing your eBay password.
  • Figures that move (tax, mileage, carrier pricing) stay as calculator inputs or links to the publisher. This site should not go quietly stale.
